Der SDF (Syriac Democratic Forces) ist eine Militärformation, die sich aus Kurden, Arabern, Syriac Assyrians (Suryoye - Christen) und weiteren Ethnien zusammensetzt. Mit Unterstützung der NATO - Mitglieder USA, Frankreich, Großbritannien und auch Deutschland, welches durch Tornadoaufklärungseinsätze Luftbilder geliefert hat, konnte der IS am Boden, zumindest militärisch, besiegt werden. Die Türkei, mit denen die USA als Schutzmacht der SDF Einheiten in Verbindung stehen, sieht die Dominanz der Kurden, im Besonderen der YPG/YPJ - Einheiten, als Bedrohung des eigenen Territoriums an den südlichen Grenzen. Der SDF betont immer wieder, wie auch im folgenden Interview mit dem Pressesprecher des SDF, dass sich die Militärformation aus verschiedenen Einheiten zusammensetzt. So besteht die YPG zum Beispiel, was leider im Westen kaum zur Ansprache kommt, zum überwiegenden Teil aus Arabern (ca. 60 % bis 70 % je nach Quellenangaben).
Oft unterschlagen die Medien in Deutschland sogar, dass sich christliche Einheiten unter dem SDF befinden, die sich der Ethnie der „Syriac – Assyrians“ zugehörig fühlen. Der Presssprecher des SDF, Gabriel Kino, gehört zur letzteren genannten Ethnie und ist Christ.
Im Gespräch mit Kino, welches vor einem Tag geführt wurde, kommen die Themen Zusammensetzung des SDF, Türkei - Verhandlungen mit den USA, ein eventueller Einsatz der Bundeswehr, sowie Lösungen für den Syrien/Türkei Konflikt zur Ansprache.

The SDF (Syriac Democratic Forces) is a military formation composed of Kurds, Arabs, Syriac Assyrians (Suryoye - Christians) and other ethnic groups. With the support of the NATO members USA, France, Great Britain and also Germany, which provided aerial photographs by Tornado reconnaissance missions, the IS could be defeated on the ground, at least militarily. Turkey, with which the USA is in contact as the protecting power of the SDF units, sees the dominance of the Kurds, in particular the YPG/YPJ units, as a threat to its own territory on the southern borders. The SDF underscores again and again, as in the following interview with the SDF press spokesman, that the military formation is composed of different units. For example, the YPG consists mainly of Arabs (approx. 60 % to 70 % depending on the sources), which unfortunately is hardly addressed in the West.
Often the media in Germany even conceal the fact that there are Christian units related to the SDF who feel they belong to the ethnic group of the "Syriac - Assyrians". The SDF's press spokesman, Gabriel Kino, belongs to the last-named ethnic group and is a Christian.
In an interview with Kino, which was held a day ago, the topics of the composition of the SDF, Turkey - negotiations with the USA, a possible mission of the Bundeswehr, as well as solutions for the Syria/Turkey conflict are discussed.
